 Facility Rentals

 The Magnes Collection of Jewish Art and Life is pleased to offer designated spaces available for events, both during and after public hours, based on availability. The Magnes Collection does not make space available to events that, in its judgment, could disrupt or conflict with the primary use of the building as a public museum and research institution. Priority will be given to the scheduling of Magnes Collection’s programs and activities.

Net proceeds from rentals will help support the Magnes Collection’s primary goal to serve scholars and visitors in providing great accessibility to one of the preeminent Jewish collections in the world.

The Magnes Collection disclaims all responsibility for any and all items left on premises by either the Lessee or guests/agents. This disclaimer applies especially to, but is not limited to, goods and equipment items, which must be removed from the premises immediately following the conclusion of the event.

RENTAL SPACES, FEES AND AVAILABILITY

Auditorium

The main event space at the Magnes Collection Building features a large space for special events, corporate functions, banquets and cultural performances. The skylights flood the room with plenty of sunlight. A raised theatrical stage at one end provides ample room for musicians or a head table. The stage is also equipped with a sound system, a projector and a movie screen for performances or symposiums.  200 chairs are available for use.

The Conference/Community Room

Located behind glass doors, the Conference Room is furnished with a large central table and conference chairs. Ideal for meetings, workshops and classrooms, this room sits comfortable between 10-25 people. Portable A/V equipment can be used in this room.

The Seminar Room

This study room can be used as a classroom or workshop. It is furnished with a central table surrounded by chairs, and can sit 20 people. Portable A/V can be used in this room.

The Collections Study Room

This study room must be kept dry. No food or drink allowed. It is also furnished as a classroom, and can sit 30 people. A/V equipment can be used in this room.

Lobby

The large lobby can be used for standing reception room only. Uses for this space could include standing cocktail reception; greeting desk etc. 50 people can stand in this space.
