Arielle Tonkin is an entrepreneurial visual artist with particular interest in arts programming as a tool for community building and urban planning.

She holds a BA (summa cum laude) in Visual Arts and Conflict Studies from Boston University. Prior to coming to The Magnes, she completed a year fellowship in Jewish Text and Talmud from Yeshivat Hadar in NYC.

Arielle brings years of museum administration and education experience from the Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology at Harvard University and the Haifa Museum of Art.
