Magnes Outreach brings our collections and exhibitions to your site through visual slide shows and interactive topical discussions.

Jews of India
Discover the Jewish communities of India through an exploration of art and artifacts from the Magnes collection of decorative art and ritual objects, reflecting Jewish tradition and Indian motifs.

Jews of Morocco
The rich history and art of the Jews of Morocco is revealed in this presentation featuring objects from the Magnes objects including illustrated Ketubbot, historic photographs, Hanukkah lamps, amulets, and synagogue objects.

Painted Memories: Shtetl Life in Poland between the Wars
Based on the paintings and memories of Mayer Kirshenblatt in They Called Me Mayer July: Painted Memories of a Jewish Childhood in Poland Before the Holocaust

Against the Evil Eye: Magic and Fold Beliefs in Jewish Tradition
In this intriguing program, a corner of the veil has been lifted into the mysteries of Jewish lore and mythology as you explore art and amulets from the Magnes collection.

DOCENT TOURS

Docents engage visitors with exhibitions through visual thinking and interactive dialogue.  Strengthen your powers of observation and witness the material culture of Jewish life through art and artifacts in Magnes galleries.
