American Jewish History

The most important archival holdings documenting the history of the Jews in America are: 

• The American Jewish Historical Society (AJHS), which is a partner of the Center for Jewish History (New York) 
• The Jacob Rader Marcus Center of the American Jewish Archives, located at the Hebrew Union College-Institute of Religion (Cincinnati)

The AJHS also maintains web pages that list other American Jewish archival repositories and regional historical societies.
